Spot clean only with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, bleach or dry clean — the hand embroidery and linen will pull out of shape. Press out excess water gently, never wring or twist. Air dry flat, away from direct sunlight, so the ivory stays ivory. Brush the woolly coat with a soft baby brush now and then to keep the curl full. Keep away from ballpoint pens and dark fabrics — linen picks up color easily.
