Why Joey?
Our story began the way so many parenting journeys do — with a baby who just wouldn't sleep.
Joey Bamboo was born from two mothers, two restless little ones, and countless sleepless nights.
Like so many parents, we tried everything. The white noise. The swaddles. The carefully timed routines, the dimmed lights, the endless rocking at 3am. We read every article, followed every piece of advice, and still our babies stirred, fussed, and woke — night after night.
It was somewhere in those tired, tender hours that we noticed something we'd never thought to question: the clothes our babies were sleeping in. The stiff seams. The fabric that felt warm one moment and clammy the next. The little red marks on soft skin in the morning. We realised that comfort against the skin — the very thing wrapped around our babies all night long — was quietly shaping how well they slept.
So we went looking for something better. And we found bamboo.
The first time we dressed our babies in bamboo, the difference was undeniable. It was impossibly soft, breathable, and gentle — warm without overheating, cool without a chill. For the first time, our little ones settled. And so, finally, did we.
That single discovery became something bigger than the two of us. We wanted every parent to feel the relief we felt — to know that the fabric against their baby's skin was working with them, not against them. We wanted clothing that was as kind to sensitive skin as it was to the planet our children will inherit.
And so Joey Bamboo was born.
Today, every piece is thoughtfully designed in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — created by parents, for parents, with all the care we wished we'd had on those long early nights. From our zippy rompers to our two-piece pyjamas, each design carries the same promise that started it all: softer skin, calmer nights, and a little more rest for the whole family.
Because we've been there. And we made Joey Bamboo for you — and for the little joeys who deserve the gentlest start of all.
Welcome to the family.
