Holy Cow I'm One Short Sleeve Bamboo Zippy
Everything for the first two years, in the softest thing we make.
Newborn skin is still learning how to be skin. It reacts to seams, to tags, to fabric that holds heat instead of letting it go — which is why almost everything here is cut from 95% viscose from bamboo with 5% spandex. It runs cooler than cotton, it drapes instead of bunching, and it stays soft through the wash cycles a baby's wardrobe actually goes through.
The practical half of this collection is the zip rompers: one two-way zipper from ankle to chin, openable from the bottom, which is the entire argument for a zippy at three in the morning. Footie rompers cover the toes for cold floors. Short-sleeve rompers handle the warm months.
The sleep half is swaddle blankets at a full 46″ square — large enough to actually wrap a newborn — and wearable sleep sacks in 1.0 and 2.5 TOG, for after they learn to kick a blanket off. And for the first photographs, hand-crocheted star cocoons in milk cotton yarn.
Sizes run newborn through 24 months. Many pieces can be embroidered with their name.
